Re: Cannot make an account

Most client have a built in create account function. What kind of source are you using ?

Post your source then I can help you.

Most of sources will have this >>" #define DEF_MAKE_ACCOUNT: inside their Globaldef.H

Check if it its written off by the "//" in the beginning of the above code. If so, remove it and check it.

You can also check in "void CGame::UpdateScreen_OnMainMenu()" and check for case 2

Code: Select all

if (m_bEnterPressed == TRUE)
	{
        // Enter
        PlaySound('E', 14, 5);
        m_bEnterPressed = FALSE;
        switch (m_cCurFocus) {
        case 1:
            delete pMI;
            ChangeGameMode(DEF_GAMEMODE_ONSELECTSERVER);
            return;
        case 2:
    #ifdef DEF_MAKE_ACCOUNT
            ClearContents_OnSelectCharacter();
            delete pMI;
            ChangeGameMode(DEF_GAMEMODE_ONCREATENEWACCOUNT);
    #endif
            return;
        case 3:
            delete pMI;
            ChangeGameMode(DEF_GAMEMODE_ONQUIT);
            return;
        }
    }

And

Code: Select all

if (cMIresult == DEF_MIRESULT_CLICK)
	{
        PlaySound('E', 14, 5);
        m_cCurFocus = iMIbuttonNum;
        switch (iMIbuttonNum)
        {
        case 1:
            ChangeGameMode(DEF_GAMEMODE_ONSELECTSERVER);
            delete pMI;
            break;

        case 2:
    #ifdef DEF_MAKE_ACCOUNT
            ClearContents_OnSelectCharacter();
            delete pMI;
            ChangeGameMode(DEF_GAMEMODE_ONCREATENEWACCOUNT);
    #endif
            return;
        case 3:
            delete pMI;
            ChangeGameMode(DEF_GAMEMODE_ONQUIT);
            return;

        }
    }

1st code is when user press the "Enter" key, and the second is when the mouse cursor click "Create Account"

If still cant figure out, post your source and I will fix it for ya. Good Luck.
